'Transcontinental' Single-ended Diesel Locomotive
A superb repaint of the R.55 Diesel, by Graeme Brown, to match the duo-tone green 2nd series Transcontinental Passenger Cars; similar to the original Canadian National Railway CNR passenger colours.
And here is the Diesel Locomotive in a 'fantasy set' complete with a full complement of 'Transcontinental' Duo-tone Green Passenger Cars.
Oh ! ... If only it really had been made ... Simply fabulous !

Canadian Pacific Class G3 Locomotive and Tender
A superb conversion of the R.54 Pacific Steam Locomotive, in the circa 1935 'new look' passenger paint scheme, by Graeme Brown, with added loco body valance and custom made decals.
Canadian Pacific Box Car
This Tri-ang Railways Box Car model was professionally repainted. The lettering and numbering is correct for the actual real-life Box Car.
It is surprising that the script-style Canadian Pacific logo was not used on any of the Tri-ang Railways Canadian models: it would have been a very welcome addition to the range, adding much greater interest to the limited number of Canadian Pacific liveries that were on offer.

Canadian Pacific Newsprint Car
This Tri-ang Railways Box Car model was professionally repainted.
The lettering and numbering is correct for the actual real-life Newsprint Car. Again, another attractive model in the script-style
Canadian Pacific logo. Note the shield motif carrying the 'NEWSPRINT SERVICE ONLY' lettering.

British Columbia Railway Box Car
British Columbia Raiway were running their own freight cars in the 1970's and would have been an excellent choice of livery for
Tri-ang Railways / Hornby Railways to have modelled; thus expanding, what was in reality, a very limited range of Canadian models.
Colin Penn had one of the Tri-ang Refrigerator / Box Car models painted by a professional artist, all the lettering was done by hand.
When viewed closely, the remarkable quality of the workmanship is very apparent.

Canadian National Ice Refrigerator Car
This Tri-ang Railways Refrigerator Car model has been repainted into the earlier Canadian National Railway CNR maple leaf livery.
This would have made a very welcome addition to the very limited range of railway company liveries available in the Tri-ang Railways range of Canadian models.

Ontario Northland Caboose
This yellow non-printed version of the Tri-ang Railways Caboose has had a quick roof repaint and some off-the-shelf transfers/decals added.
Nevertheless it is an attractive model and a useful addition to the range; although, to me, it still looks a little bit toy-like !
