Bi-lingual 'With Compliments' Letter included with the 1966 Canadian Catalogue Inserts (for 1965/1966 Canadian Catalogue)
single one-sided sheet, 8½" x 11"
This was a time in Canada when there was much discussion in parliament about including French as one of Canada's official languages which would eventually mandate that all packaging,
instructions and related materials be bi-lingual. It would appear, by the inclusion of an English/French letter, which included comments about the very subject, that Tri-ang wished to express their compassion about the subject to the French speaking population. This was repeated in the 1967/1968 catalogue.
Based on the 1965/1966 date at the bottom of the rear cover for the 1965 catalogue it is quite clear that there was no intention to produce a full 1966 catalogue. This was however, the beginning of a new era for Tri-ang in Canada with the introduction of Canadian liveried items which were coming out regularly.
To help bring these new items into the public eye a brochure was produced and inserted into the catalogue throughout 1966.
