I had often wondered if any of the former ATT Tri-ang locomotives were ever repackaged by Model Power but it seemed not; there is just a reference to a 'Shifter and Tender' on the Model Power box ends which most probably refers to one of the former ATT Japanese Brass models.
However, some recent purchases from two seperate sources in the USA have brought to light some new information. The name of Precision Miniatures Inc. of Brooklyn, N.Y. 11208 has now become significant in the history of Tri-ang Railways in the USA.
It is now known that the Tri-ang ATT 0-4-0 Tank Locomotive was repackaged and sold under the Precision Miniatures Inc. trademark together with the non-Tri-ang manufactured (Roco) American outline freight cars.
The pictured example (above on the left) appears to have been sold as an individual item; it has the black Precision Miniatures label added to the top left of the box lid. The other model (on the right) is from the Feight Train Set pictured below; it does not have the additional black label on the box lid.
