This is a special one-of-a-kind 'paint job' (above) carried out as part of an early 1970's Canadian National Railway television promotion. Four cars were painted to represent the commodities they carried. The other side of the car carried standard lettering (below). Both photographs taken at Calgary, Alberta on the 17th July 1971.
R.1350 Canadian National Newsprint Car - white with black roof - un-numbered
This is another of the special 'paint jobs' (above). Decorated in a one-of-a-kind paint scheme promoting newsprint, this was one of four cars specially painted, on one side only, with paint schemes indicating the cargoes carried by the cars for a 1970's Canadian National Railway television promotion.
The other side of the freight car is painted and lettered as normal (below) - taken at Calgary, Alberta on the 17th July 1971.
